Other Scholarship Awards - EKU Foundation
- The
Eastern Kentucky University Foundation, through the generosity of
its donors, is pleased to make available a variety of scholarship
opportunities to deserving students.
- These privately-funded Foundation scholarships are awarded annually
to many students. Most of these awards are based on academic credentials
such as major, grade point average, grade classification, or ACT
scores, or other criteria such as high school, county or state.
- Applicants should complete the appropriate University Academic
Scholarship application Form (incoming
freshman, transfer,
or continuing
student) to be considered for the Foundation
scholarships awarded by the University Scholarship Office.
Also, some Foundation scholarships are awarded through EKU's colleges
and specific academic departments, so please check with the college
and department of your major to learn more about other Foundation
scholarships, application processes and deadlines. Many colleges
and departments include scholarship information on their web pages.
- Some Foundation scholarships are need-based and require the completion
of the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA). This application
can be obtained online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- A few Foundation Scholarships require an additional essay to be
written and submitted with the University Academic Scholarship Application,
references, and grade transcript.
- EKU Foundation scholarships are subject to available funds each
year. Award amounts may vary from year to year.
- Recipients of Foundation scholarships which have living donors
will be asked to write thank you cards to those donors. Those recipients
will be contacted by the Foundation Scholarship Coordinator about
this process.
- Contact the Foundation Scholarship Coordinator with any questions
at (859) 622-5035 or tammy.taylor@eku.edu.
