Undergraduate Scholarship Awards - Current Students

The Ray Giltner Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

The scholarship award is for $250 annually, to be used toward tuition, room and board, or academic materials. Recipients will be announced and notified by letter. Applications must be received by March 1.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. The student must be enrolled full time at Eastern Kentucky University.
2. The student must have completed a minimum of one year of 24 credit hours and have earned at least a 2.0 GPA.
3. The student must have demonstrated the following characteristics valued by Ray Giltner: citizenship, social responsibility, and leadership.
4. Students home residence must be within the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky EKU Alumni Chapter Area.

The following must be mailed along with application to be considered:

1. Two references
   • One from an EKU staff or faculty member, preferably someone who knows you well,
   • One from an EKU alumnus. (If you currently don't know an EKU alumnus, contact your high school guidance counselor for possible alumni information.)
2. Be sure to list all your relevant high school/college activities and work experience on your application.
3. Write a cover letter explaining why you think you should be selected.
4. Note in your letter if you are a child of an EKU alumnus.
